Thank God you were right. I can’t imagine what life would be like to have another Republican, even if it were John McCain, for the next 4-8 years. My hope and prayers are with Barack Obama to help us succeed as civilized nation again.

I think this is a great sentiment and one that should guide us regardless of which candidate we vote for.

Eight years ago, I (gasp!) voted for Bush. This morning, I voted for Obama. While Ben laid out many good reasons, mine was much more simple: somewhere between then and now, I started to care about not what would be good for *me*, but rather, what will be good for everyone.

Yay! I live in Pennsylvania and have been beaten over the head with these damn political ads. But you know what? My vote for Obama will help ensure that America will again be respected in the world and that stupid neocon Palin will be shipped back to Alaska (where she will promptly shoot a bunch of un-armed moose).
