I think I’d seen this a while ago – but I just tried it again with “King Pleasure” – this kinda obscure jazz guy on the Oxford American Southern Music Volume 3 compilation, and it put together a playlist of like music. Pretty awesome!

The “Music Genome” project is interesting as well. It “tags” songs with things like “bluegrass instrumentation”, “mild rhythmic syncopation”, “acoustic sonority”, etc. Not exactly “fall music” like I’d like, but it does a good job…
